Alternative travel ideas for long distances?

Featured Replies

So my request is rather specific to my small vacation over the new years break but any general input would be appreciated.

I live in Nonthaburi and will be visiting Krabi to do some diving between the 28th and the 1st, I need to be back in the classroom the morning of the 2nd.

I have a cheap way down there, a large group of friends are splitting a private van, however only a few of us are returning on the 1st. My questions is, does anyone know of a clever and inexpensive way to get from Krabi to Victory Monument? Flights are very expensive since it's peak season, and the VIP busses are all booked up, as are the trains. I'm thinking of splitting a taxi with a few buddies but it will still probably run us each around 2000-2500 baht. Any Ideas?

Thanks everyone.
