Thai gift giving holidays

Featured Replies

I was wondering with the christian holday's in full swing and currently having a thai gf, should I be aware of any thai holidays where it is customary to exchange or present a gift to her (outside of the expectant birthday).

Not Christmas, normally New Years. Many Thais receive bonuses as New Years presents from their employers. Many farangs give bonuses to their domestic help, it is pretty much expected. My wife expects one on both Christmas and New Years, but I buy her a "Christyears" gift and give it to her on the 29th of December, halfway between! My wife says that I am stingy -kee kee niaao!
