before i go to vientiene to get my 60 day, do i have to extend?? why does every one want to extend??

If Immigrations wanted Baht 1900 for 7 days, isn't it more likely he's here now on a visa exempt entry or something else that's not extendable?

It is more than likely the OP has something which is non extendable !

I often wonder why people do not research options before setting out into the world.

As a younger man I traveled extensively and never had any problems. Maybe was lucky but I believe my "luck" was based on an understanding of the many and varied "visa" requirements of different countries.
