Corruption scandal hits the brakes: Thailand’s bus industry whistleblows dirty dealings
In a way it is a sign of a failed state. If the government (which itself is no stranger to corruption) can't rely on its regulations being adhered to or the honesty of its civil servants, police, armed services etc then it itself has no purpose, no legitimacy and the people have no leadership that they can respect and rely on. -

Trump to remove legal immigrants.
The Americans should send their illegal immigrants to China, in 40-foot Cargo Containers aboard cargo vessels. China needs a younger workforce. Also, in China, the American illegal immigrants could go into the leather business, and other industries It would be better for Americans to see their illegal immigrants put to work for them in China, rather than in the USA, and then import from China even cheaper products. This would be a win-win for everyone. -

Pick-up Truck Swerves to Avoid Motorcycle, Crashes into School Van: Six Injured, Phetchabun
Na Chaliang Police Station received a report at 16.40 on October 4, of a collision between a pick-up truck and a school van at kilometre marker 184 on the Saraburi-Lom Sak Road in Huai Pong sub-district, Nong Phai district, Phetchabun. The accident resulted in five injuries in the school van. At the scene, authorities found a damaged school van belonging to Kuladis Wittayanusorn School. The rear of the van showed clear signs of being struck, with the rear wheels dislodged. Among those injured were the van driver and four students, who were rushed to Nong Phai Hospital. Nearby, a black pick-up truck with registration number from Phetchabun was found heavily damaged at the front. Additionally, a motorcycle was found at the scene, also severely damaged. The motorcyclist, identified as Mr. Phada (surname withheld), aged 67, was found unconscious and was immediately taken to Nong Phai Hospital for emergency care. Initial investigations revealed that the motorcycle had abruptly cut in front of the pick-up truck, forcing the driver of the truck to swerve. The pick-up then lost control, colliding with the rear of the school van. The impact caused the van to veer off the road, cross the median, and crash into a tree. Police have called in both the pick-up and van drivers for questioning as they continue their investigation into the exact cause of the accident. Dr. Bundit Kruthangka, head of Kuladis Wittayanusorn School, stated that he rushed to the scene upon hearing the news. After visiting the hospital, he reported that most of the injuries were minor, though one student suffered a broken arm. He noted that the accident occurred after the students had finished their final exams, and the van was en route to drop the last four students at their homes. One of the parents, Mrs. Jaruwan (surname withheld), aged 35, shared her distress. “I was waiting for my child to come home when I received a call about the accident. I was in shock, especially since I was still shaken from a recent bus fire incident. Seeing the state of the van broke my heart, but fortunately, my child only sustained minor injuries. After speaking with them and seeing they were responsive, I felt a little relieved,” she said. Authorities continue to investigate the incident to determine legal action. Is that an agency that takes a big cut of the pie and only pays their maid employees maybe 60% after taking their cut of the fees charged? The Base has a huge amount of cleaners working there every day, as they have to prepare it for the next illegal short-term AirBNB renters coming to stay for a few days, which would include a full deep clean and change of bedsheets, towels, toilet paper, etc. 500 baht would make sense for something like that if all that was included, and that's probably the price the AirBNB'ers gets charged as a cleaning fee after they've trashed the place. -

If she was proactive and aggressive enough, she could get all the money back from this fool. She would just need to take action into her own hands, engage in massive public humiliation, and shaming by outing this guy on every level possible, and my guess is he would pay her off just to get his life back. I've used this technique before with great success. -

Why do retirees marry in Thailand ?
Men who take advantage of poor women because they can, and ending up as Thai women haters at worst, or just grumpy old men who lost. LOL. Who is taking advantage of whom? You strike me as someone who doesn't have much if any actual experience of the farang bar scene. IMO you treat women like the weaker sex, when that is BS. Most BGs can make a man jump when they tell him to. While I had a problem with my ex, I never hated all Thai women. It was my own fault for keeping her instead of renting. An retired expat with an younger girl, I can just assume how boring it can be if have no common ground, or nothing to do, that makes them get up in the morning and start doing something, Sounds like you think the woman doesn't have a job. My wife went out to work every day, and earned her own money. Some guys really get taken for suckers. -
