Follow-up Costs Thai/farang Marriage

I knew a fella once that married a Taiwanese gal. Let me tell you that marriage was over with in a hurry. But he promised himself to not hate Taiwan, the Taiwanese, or the culture. You see, despite his young age, limited education etc.... he was wise enough to remember the good that Taiwan contained. He was wise enough to descern that she, although a sister to satan, did not represent all Asian women.

Now after his experience, he did swear off intercultural relationships. Or at least he tried. He eventually was stung again by the beauty of an Asian woman. Now they are married happily for over half a decade by now.

All mariages, unfortunately, run the risk of ending. It is the sad truth, I wish it was not but it is.

Speaking of mariage, I best go spend some time with my bride.

For me, "the deal is done". All others, married to a Thai-Lady and living in his country may want to remember what I posted above under 1).

As I tried to hint on before and as CV eloquently put, the problem is not that she is Thai, its that shes a bitch and your an idiot.

Race and culture doesn't come into it, she conned you to get a visa in Switzerland, deal with your own mistake mate, don't blame it on anything else but her and yourself. Take some responsibilty for your actions.

This stuff goes on plenty with domestic marriages as well, ie American to American. It is a convenient weapon for playing dirty in the martial game (if the allegations are fabricated). My advice is not to take an Asian lady to live in a western country, unless she is well educated, culturally versatile, speaks the language of your country well and you have strong trust in her. I imagine the reason you chose an Asian woman is partly because you prefer the softer and less confrontational side of her character. She is liable to lose some or all of this after a period of residence in USA or other "more advanced" countries.

no matter what i always get surprised to how much in some parts of thailand a persons (usually female..) family can get so rabid about free money. There is literally not end to the money hunger, i guess eventually if ever last cousin and niece is retired for ever.. but that would be like a couple billion bahts. **edited for language**

Many farang men come here with preconceived notions. The biggest mistake is thinking that your Thai girlfriend will always be docile and submissive. WRONG!

Women are women no matter where they come from BUT it is to the man's benefit that the Thai culture is much different than our own western culture. Their best trait is being able to make their man think that he is the boss.

Men really delude themselves into believing that a HUGE age difference makes no difference. It does make a difference, a BIG difference.
