PTT To Expand Its Number Of NGV Stations

PTT is speedily to expand its NGV stations

PTT is confident that it can expand its gas stations to reach the gas demand. Meanwhile, the Energy Ministry has targeted that 500,000 cars will turn to use NGV over the next five years.

Mr. Nattachat Jarujinda (ณัฐชาติ จารุจินดา), the Assistant Chairman of the PTT Board, revealed that PTT plans to set up 700 NGV stations within five years in order to support NGV demand in the future. 430 of NGV stations are planed to be established within the first three years, while PTT confirmed to peg NGV price at 8.50 baht per kg for two years.

He added that PTT has adjust the market average price of NGV form 50-60 satang to 1.40 baht per liter so as to encourage gas traders to turn to open NGV stations.

700 more NGV service stations will be set up by 2011

PTT Plc. is confident it can build more NGV service stations to meet the Energy Ministry’s target of increasing the number of cars that run on natural gas to half a million in the next 5 years.

PTT assistant managing director Nattachat Jarujinda (ณัฐชาติ จารุจินดา) said PTT plans to build 700 more NGV service stations within 2011, adding 430 stations should be set up in the next 3 years.

Mr. Nattachat said PTT will peg the price of NGV at 8.50 baht per kilogram for another 2 years to encourage car owners to switch to the NGV system.
