Aforek
Try English bashing instead; with these 4 surnames and this family name, they can't be French . 100% English !
cracker1
I was waiting after reading this story and see a comment from the Phuket Governor saying something like : "This is the third time this has happened on our Island in a little over a year and we are very concerned for the safety of our visitors. We have plans to immediately improve the quality and signage of our Tourist Trails so rest assured it is safe to wander among our natural areas, but be sure to keep on our posted tracks"
andreandre
What I find slightly amusing is this... How does one (let alone a group) get lost on an island; especially an island the size of PKT? I mean if it was Australia...then I could easily understand....but Phuket? I wonder if "Christmas Spirits" had anything to do with this? Or...judging by the look on the guy's face plus the 3 chicks, perhaps there was some monkey business going on in the forest....just sayin.... "I wonder if "Christmas Spirits" had anything to do with this" Myself, i wonder if "Christmas Spirits" had anything to do with your post....way weird on every point.. A couple of hundred meters from the mainland and a bridge? Might sound good to the south sea island poms....but hardly............

CLUBBER
Do you think it could be this guy, Bill Leyshon? Scroll down to see a photo of him from a few years back. Looks very similar, the age is about right, and this 'other' Bill has only daughters as well: http://www.bbc.co.uk/somerset/content/articles/2008/05/22/bill_leyshon_profile_feature.shtml If so, we have a Brit who pretended to be French to save his country the embarrassment and to stick one to the continentals. YES you got it ! Great work he is really a Brit

If you don't know where you are and you're not sure where you're going it is very easy to get lost anywhere. What's monkey business supposed to mean? Aren't you brave enough to say what you mean, freak? Perhaps bear in mind that the family may be reading this and see your vile suggestion.

slipperylobster
No pointing? There is but he is directionally challenged. Quite possible an overcast night? The moon was directly overhead? Southern cross just too low on the horizon? A gimp leg on the left, tending to turn him in circles? Or might possibly been they were search for better wine? I know a better short cut....it's called the Tuk-Tuk cutoff....
fiddlehead
I like this family's attitude. Really! They decided to do a bit of exploring by trail instead of tuk tuk. OK, they screwed up a bit and got lost. Lesson learned: take a compass next time, but don't stop exploring. And don't follow the sheep. A man on foot, on horseback or on a bicycle will see more, feel more, enjoy more in one mile than the motorized tourists can in a hundred miles.” ~ Edward Abbey “If you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much space.” ~ Anonymous Edited December 28, 2013 by fiddlehead
