Rumours spread about death of NK leader’s aunt

SEOUL: -- The whereabouts of Kim Kyong-hui, aunt of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and wife of the recently purged No. 2 man Jang Song-thaek, have been unknown for weeks, spawning speculation that she might have died.

According to a local media outlet, the North Korean leader’s only aunt is believed to have either committed suicide or died.

“It is possible that Kim Kyong-hui committed suicide right after the purge of Jang Song-thaek, or died of a heart attack. We are keeping close tabs on the situation in the North,” an unnamed source was quoted as saying.

However, some North Korea observers dismissed speculation of her death.

“North Korea must have broken the news about Kim’s death and arranged a funeral to commemorate her passing if she had really died -- she is at the centre of the Kim family,” another source was quoted as saying.

Her frail health was reported to be the reason for her prolonged absence from the public scene, but a Seoul government official was quoted as saying, “It is yet to confirm whether Kim Kyong-hui was dead.”

Following the shock execution of her husband, Kim has not been in the public eye since October, when she watched a music performance with Kim Jong-un and his wife.

Considering he fed his uncle and mentor to a pack of starved dogs, and had an ex-girlfriend (and some of her acquaintances) killed by firing squad, I wouldn't put it passed him to "arrange" for his aunt to suddenly have an heart attack.

HTF there hasn't been a military coup in that place really makes me shake my head.

I don't believe for a second he had his ex-GF machine gunned for staring in a porno, or his uncle eaten my starved dogs.

Just newspaper sensationalism. Aunt may have died so it was an opportune time to have her husband executed. tongue.png

As "Joe the poster" mentioned on a previous thread.......he starved the people for 3 days and then fed them to the dogs.

Now....he was querying........shouldn't that be the other way round? Starve the dogs instead of his uncle?

The 'uncle fed to starving dogs' is most likely a rumor.

Even so, why is it so difficult for Asians to tell the truth? Is it genetic or simply cultural?

Not a rumour my friend!!

So what would explain all the Walter Mittys' in Pattaya and elsewhere who claim Special Forces experience in Vietnam, N. Ireland, Iranian Embassy London or a chip shop in Hull. There's even reports of TV posters claiming to have been Vietnam-era infantry officers at the age of 15....

Is this BS genetic or simply cultural amongst "white trash"?

Especially if it was hungry chihuahuas, take a long time from them to get there.

HTF there hasn't been a military coup in that place really makes me shake my head.

1. Because the vast majority of the poor populace are to weak to rise up.

2. Any hint of going against the Kim dynasty is dealth with publicly and harshly.

3. The rich are all paid off very well, why would they bite the hand that feeds them?

4. Their military leaders are giving so much land and perks - its like they have mini-kingdoms inside the country (under KJU) (also, see point 3).

5. Loyalty is rewarded in their country. Additionally if you turn in someone else (sedition) - you get rewarded MORE.

UPDATE
Aunt of N Korea's Kim Jong-un in coma, didn't kill herself

SEOUL: -- Kim Kyong Hui, aunt of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and wife of the purged and executed official Jang Song Taek, is in a vegetative state after undergoing brain surgery, a Seoul daily reported Thursday.

Citing an intelligence official in the United States, the JoongAng Daily said that Kim had surgery for a brain tumor in 2013 in Paris.

After the surgery, she lost a lot of weight, dropping to 35 kilograms, the official said.

North Korea's state media announced Jang's execution last month, labeling him a "traitor for all ages."

Her fate has been the focus of attention of North Korea watchers since Jang's execution.

The younger sister of Kim Jong Un's father, the late leader Kim Jong Il, she was seen last month in a Korean Central Television film purported to praise the current leader's achievements.

She appeared in a scene believed to have been filmed when Kim Jong Un visited, in December 2012, the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where the leader's grandfather Kim Il Sung, the founder of North Korea, and others are laid to rest.

Jang is known to have accompanied Kim Jong Un on the visit but the footage was edited not to show his image.

apparently not. This was a web based thing from Hong Kong as a set up to upset north Korea. It was in the Australian papers. Singapore made the mistake of bringing it to the fore.

Absolutely correct, it was established several days ago that this whole 'feeding to the dogs' story is complete BS. But unfortunately there are many who desperately want to believe it, so believe it they will!
