I just read today that Hugh Millar has died and the cremation is scheduled for Saturday.

Hugh was a long-time fixture in the Pattaya community as general manager of the Ambiance Hotel, general manager of Manhattan's Steak House and owner of his own restaurant, Symphony. He will be surely missed.

Does anyone know any more details? Was he sick for a long time?

Missed...I never heard of him. I guess my fixture hasn't been long enough.

i am so sad and shocked to hear this news, i had not seen him for a while but he contacted me on Christmas Eve and wished the family and i best wishes, such a gracious man . he will be missed by many.

He had a heart attack at the end of last year. Funeral is tomorrow.
