imaderbyfan
I have just been to Kanchanaburi immigration office, for my annual retirement extension. I have done this for several years now and went armed with what is usually sufficient, that is Embassy letter confirming income, copies of passport pages, medical certificate, house rental contract, my extension was not granted. I was told that there is a new requirement that came in this year, as follows.... House rental contract needs to have official stamp from city hall, cost 30 baht, easily done at government office next door, also a signed copy of the property landlord's house ownership book is required. I will need to obtain this and return to Immigration. Anyone else come across this at any other immigration office? It may, of course be peculiar to Kanchanaburi office only
ubonjoe
Additional documents and stamps are needed at many immigration offices now. I had to go through the same thing this year but they wanted copy of owners ID card as well. Stamps from Amphoe requirement was added just before approval. Did they ask for the medical certificate or is that something you do on your own? That is not a requirement according to the rules.
wayned
Yes, Not the stamp but in addition to getting the signed copy of the landlords blue book, also get a signed copy of his ID card.. It might save you an additional trip.
imaderbyfan
Ubon....It would appear that the medical certificate is peculiar to Kanchanaburi.... It is only a 2 minute task at a clinic cost, 50 baht..

pmarlin
This has to be a local thing. Just looked at http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/base.php and does not apply to Bangkok.
