Does anyone know of any banks here in Chiang Mai that rent safe deposit boxes?

Just about all due. You need to go in a bank branch ask them and you will have to sign up on a list. It would help if that branch is where your account is. Odds if you just walking in and getting a box are very slim. Try Bangkok Bank and Siam Commercial Thapae Road.

I got one at Kasikorn Bank on Chang Klan rd near Shangri La hotel. I think you will need to open an account there to get one.

Kasikorn also.. Helped that I was asking at a time I had a decent balance, Felt like they went to bat for me that bit harder that it wasnt just in the 100's of k.

My branch didnt but they phoned around and the one on Charoen Muang near the superhighway had them and at a very reasonable rate. I didnt need to open an account with that bank branch.
