WhizBang
I live on Asoke and vehicles cannot even get near my building. Everything is peaceful, although noisy, at the moment, but that could change at any time. My advice would be to avoid Bangkok at all costs. Go elsewhere until this mess is finished. It is just not worth the risk should everything suddenly escalate.

BKKBrit
They should definitely avoid the major protests site of Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy. Us regular punter's will sneak in and keep all updated on these two very dangerous protest sites. LOL.. The only 'danger' with these places, doubtless high on the regular tourists' 'must-see' list, is a dose of STD and rapid depletion of funds.
