I could use some "eyes" in Bangkok please.

We are driving into Bangkok this weekend to meet some visiting friends from abroad and will need to get to our hotel on soi 19. We usually exit the tollway at Sukhumvit and drive east to soi 19, (the Westin hotel is on that corner) The hotel says we should turn at soi 15 and come in from the back but they were not sure.

Once we are there and parked we will use public transport to get around but I do want my car parked securely at the hotel.

So my question is, can I drive east on Sukhumvit to soi 15 or 19 without being stopped?

Any info would be helpful and thanks in advance.

I got caught in a really bad traffic jam near there yesterday. I would take the advice of the hotel and exit on Soi 15 or even Soi 11 and come around the back way. It will depend on what time you come in and you should be able to see once you exit the tollway whether the traffic is backed up. Good Luck!

I was there last Monday evening and yes you could have done that.

The group of protesters was not passed Terminal 21.

I understand the mob at that intersection is even smaller now today.

I will go there again this evening.

Of course, tomorrow is the weekend so who knows the mob might grow again.

Turn into Soi 11 and use the back streets.

I was thinking soi 11 too.. Specifically the bit that joins on to soi 3 neat the PB Hotel.. Give Sukhumvit a big miss.

Looks like soi 11 or 15 if I can get that far. My map doesn't show a connection from soi 11 to 19 but I guess I need a better map.
