Buying 4g sim at Suv airport?

Featured Replies

The True shop at BKK is vey convenient for getting a mobile line as soon as you touch down.

But I've never seen them display promotions that include 4g, only 3g.

Has anyone succesfully bought prepaid 4g from one of the airport shops?

4G or LTE is reserved for post pay customers only.

4g in thailand where even 3g hardly works ????????????????????????????

True 3G is actually pretty good, and their 850Mhz network is by far the most extensive, since AIS & DTAC have only just started rolling out their 2100MHz networks and are still pretty patchy. 4G is really really limited to some central districts of BKK. One final note on True's 3G, they have deplyed HSPA+ which even in a real world environment can get you DL speeds of 10+ Mbps

Are True phoning round their customers offering this?

Today I received a call in Thai but could not understand what the guy was on about. Thought I caught was the words LTE.

I have an account with True but they call was on my 1-2-Call AIS number. Is this possible?

No. Eye. Dear.

Sadly I believe that's true for now.

There seems to be a "Manchester United Sim" that's prepaid and has 4G access, but it's pay by volume (1 THB / Mb ?!) and seems really inefficient.
