January 20, 201412 yr Hi folks, I have experience of Pattya's waters (disgusting) and Ao Nang, Krabi (nice). How would you rate Patong at the northern end of the bay ?
January 20, 201412 yr Popular Post At the north its much better than the south of the beach where all the boats are but the bottom line is that there are many much nicer beaches for swimming. Even Karon is noticeably better. There's not a massive difference between Patong and Pattaya these days.
January 20, 201412 yr There is no doubt that Patong beach water quality is poor, and getting worse year on year, but please do not compare with Pattaya beach. At least Patong has a nice wide strip of decent sand, compared with jammed in Pattaya so called sand. No way swim at the south end of Patong beach, stay way up at the north end.
January 20, 201412 yr I would never swim in it. Kata, Kata Noi, Karon, Nai Harn, Ya Nui, Kamala, Surin, Bang Tao, Mai Khao are all nice though.
