Pattaya Community Traffic and Anti-Drug Campaigns launched

PATTAYA:--The Chief of Banglamung District, Khun Sakchai, launched two community projects in Pattaya on Wednesday on Pattaya Beach Road and in Pattaya’s famous Entertainment area, Soi 6.

The first event took place on Pattaya Beach and saw hundreds of red stickers placed on the back of Baht Buses, who will now have to comply with new local traffic regulations which permit them to stop only at 17 designated Bus Stops along Pattaya Beach. Any Baht Buses found breaking the regulations will be fined and may find their vehicle is impounded by the local authorities.

The launch featured plenty of photo opportunities for those involved and a marching band which drew the attention of Thai and foreign tourists situated nearby.

The Chief of Banglamung District then made his way to Soi 6 in Central Pattaya which has been designated an area of high drug use along with Larn Island, by the local authorities.

So, what about the bars that dont have a sticker, I guess they are free to carry on like before? Im sure the marching band will get the dealers and users to change their ways!
