Jai Dee
Ratchaburi will hold a disaster prevention drill tomorrow Ratchaburi province will hold a disaster response drill tomorrow to ensure all agencies concerned know what to do if Sri Nakharin (ศรีนครินทร์) dam in neighbouring Kanchanaburi breaks up. Somjet Promsunthorn (สมเจตน์ พรหมสุนทร), head of Ratchaburi Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, said the province, located only about 100 kilometers from the dam, could be affected if an earthquake triggered by a tsunami hit the dam. Mrs. Somjet said the drill will prepare officials and the people for an evacuation and other relief assistance in case the province was flooded by water from the dam.
