Putting Chalerm in charge just goes to show how little the guy in Dubai cares about Thailand

Arrest or kill suthep and Bangkok will be over run by the student wing rampaging and rioting

IMO Thaksin and possible Chalerm deserve charges for crimes against humanity for previous events

Now Chalerm spouting off about "extrajuducial killings" when referring to arresting Suthep ... same MO as war on drugs

Looks like Chalerm is Thaksin's "sammy the Bull gravano" .... paid to do a specific job

I wouldn't stress too much.

Chalerm has completed zero of his assignments in the last 5 years

The only success he has ever had appears to be getting his sons off a murder charge.

He may not be so lucky with himself if his extrajudicial killings go ahead.

Premeditated murder, he said it himself.

Does anyone know what Suthep looks like? Issue pictures to all the police, he is apparently walking round Bangkok as we speak, we will soon get him behind bars!

Chalerm another fine example of a Thai politician, he knows what he's talking about!!

"Does anyone know what Suthep looks like?"

Yes, like this:

140105thaithathsia.jpg

A good likeness of Jatruporn except "shutdown" should read "burndown"

OK .. Make your flames and knee jerks simple. Why not just cut and paste this to all the posts you don't like.

"na na na na nah! Same to you with brass knobs on," Makes life much more simple and save you struggling to try and be rellevant. smile.png

The alternative is to come up with an argument or statement, that would impress more than your mates at the bar and your girlfriend.

Arguments have dried up againt Yinkluck and the rice scheme was properly de-bunked in american press (the ones Suthep has been courting actually) saying it was normal accepted farming policy with a few flaws. Nothing to cause hysteria on this level.

It actually shows a lack of education and reasoning skills of the part of Sutheps "educated :)" followers.

Lol at all these broken record yellow shirt trolls derailing the thread by bringing up thaksin again.and again. And again. In. Every. Single.thread.

Well it's because of the red shirts obsession with this man that we find ourselves all in this mess.

I thought it was the Thai's who were in a mess!

Note nobody has made an argement in favour of Peoples council yet.. 90 days in.

just a few sad schoolboy jibes left now from the yellow side. Lot of voters confronted the Mob today and but for the EC showing once more that they are an integral part of the Judicial Coup plot some of the stations could have stayed open.

Voters actually opened one of them up to make a point that the PDRC were not a factor there

You really think that the PTP suggested after-election council is a better idea than the protestors pre-election council? Actually, there are some good arguments for a pre-election council. But suggesting them are actually pointless - especially in a farang forum. Nobody in authority really cares two satang what farangs think about the Thai government.

As far as your 'schoolboy jibes' comment, those are flying from red-shirt apologists as well. Fact is, Thailand is corrupt on all sides. Two sides happen to be posturing with their best ally. The reds, predictably, side with the fugitive with money. The protestors are siding with a corrupt crony that happens to believe the same as they do. At the moment that the protestors would win, I would hope they continue without the baggage of the democratic cronies and take Thailand in a new direction.

Does anyone know if ThaiVisa.com has ever been forced to reveal a poster's real name to Thai authorities under some "court order" (a la Yahoo in China)? What is ThaiVisa's policy on this?

I would concerned about the potential for retaliation if a comment were to hit a little too close to home and actually impacted the outcome - especially if it supported the side that doesn't come out on top of this power struggle.

its easy, cordon off the area, roll in the tear gas and send a police unit in with tasers and stun batons, backed up with rubber bullet snipers. Aresst this low life scum and put him behind bars where he belongs.

If Chalerm can't do it, give the assignment to me, ill have Suthep in custody in less than 1 hour.

Let me guess, you are Ex Special Forces?
He who dares wins.

You know it makes sense.☺

Poor Chalerm.

It must really suck to be the joke of an entire country, and not even realize it.

And should the police attempt an arrest of Suthep resulting in casualty or death, will you laugh at the joke?

And what if Suthep should be shot and mortally wounded during the exchange, what then? Giggles or guffaws?

If the police manage an arrest with no casualties, Chalerm will be a hero and you can come out and sing his praises.

However, this being Thailand, I fear for the worse and it won't be a joking matter.

I assume that if 'Suthep will be arrested soon' means it is on Chalerms time scale in which case if it is similar to 'i will cut my own head off if i dont get Thaksin back by the end of the year' or 'all corruption will be wiped out in Phiket in 90 days' then we could be in for a bit of a wait. Dont hold your breath!

Chalerm, didn't one of his sons kill a police officer, then flee to Malaysia until things cooled off and deals done to avoid doing time?

Taksin, hasn't he avoided arrest for a number of years now?

Isn't avoiding police arrest a prerequisit for getting into politics in Thailand?

La la la la la

Khun Chalerm. Instead to declare to the world he will make arrest Suthep: why you just not do it, and give a press conference when the task will be done?

If don't have the balls for do it, why not make police protect the right of people to vote?

Why Army that said they protect people does not stand near polls to guarantee a regular vote process?

It would be funny to see the press conference with Yingluck standing there pointing at Suthep. clap2.gif

"I don't know if there will be extrajudicial killings. I will not be among the arresting officers. But whatever will happen or if there may be loss, people should understand that the police will use their good judgement," Chalerm said.

Wtffffffffff?

I could imagine that Chalerm is himself a good candidate for extra judicial killing, and both reds and protesters would celebrate the demise of this buffoon

With all due respect, the term "judicial" is a generous description. The group in the majority were given the position during the Democrat period in 2008. 4 of the 9 members are not judges and have not adjudicated in a superior court.

Chalerm - " until recently was one of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Yingluck Shinawatra" ..... and a nasty son of a **** to boot. I'm waiting for an announcement from a non-corrupt politician in Thailand. What date should I mark in my diary? wink.png

And from wiki "He served as Minister for Office of the Prime Minister under Chatichai Choonhavan, overseeing the Mass Communications Organization of Thailand. He was accused of press interference and had ongoing conflicts with the military, to the point that he was cited by the coup-makers as one of the reasons for the 1991 military coup d'état. In the wake of the coup Chalerm was among the politicians accused of "unusual wealth", and had 32 million baht in assets seized.[4] He fled Thailand to live in Sweden and Denmark until the political situation cooled down."

Won't even start on what his children have gotten arrested and fled the country for :)

Just a typical Thai politician, a dozen closets filled with skeletons. Gotta love Thai politics.

I imagine that the "winning side" would spend their time more productively by going after the "losing side", rather than harassing soft (but relatively toothless) targets like Farangs. Who cares about our political views?!

Besides, I don't recall that ThaiVisa has our names, only e-mail addresses (surely you did not use [email protected] !).

Nevertheless, I also imagine that TV will abide by any court order ... esp ones which involve the "sensitive" topics.

Good stuff.

Perhaps than can seize all the assets he stole off the tax payer in the palm oil scandal whilst their at it.

And the Phuket land scandal, and the Media concession scandal…

Both of which caused a dissolution of the government which the Democrats then lost both of the new elections !!!

And now he has caused another dissolution at great expense to the Thai people… how can they listen to this idiot blink.png

They should nick name this bloke 'TEFLON'.. unbelievable coffee1.gif

Pretty reasonable - Suthep and his cohorts have said enough to hang themselves. Time to go to the monkey house. However being filthy rich and corrupt - they won't see prison anytime soon after all this is thailand. giggle.gif

Can you read?

Then read the article again, and see that, more or less, they plan to murder Suthep.

You think that will help?

You don't think this article is more or less a declaration of war?

And return the land reportedly subverted to rich friends instead of the intended poor farmers, which scandal brought down the Leekpai gov in about 1994.

You mean the democratic vote under the SOE? Oh I see, sorry for my misunderstanding. Hang them all then <deleted>.

Again, read the article before you post. They should be brought in alive if possible, but if they resist and are killed it's not the police's fault. And yes, a democratic vote under SOE. If you fascists would respect democracy and voted instead of trying to disrupt it, the SOE would not be necessary.

I read the article, then I read your words. Are you now denying you are advocating this?

Advocating what? I want them brought in dead or alive. They need to arrested to protect the Thai democracy.

Are you sure about the wording? Did you mean “democracy” or “kleptocracy”?

If he resists arrest, it would be lawful.
