January 30, 201412 yr Where can I watch it....with beer? Is that even going to be possible? Oh, in Bangkok. Many thanks.
January 30, 201412 yr You've answered your own question in your opening post. Perhaps we could replace this with a thread of wider interest. SC
January 30, 201412 yr I believe the OP's question is where in Bangkok he can watch the game, adding the geographical location with his second post because he forgot to specify in his first post. So, if anybody knows the answer, kindly reply. The OP also did not say on what date and at what time that game takes place, or perhaps it is more than one game, but I guess those who know what it is will know all about it. As regards making the topic open to a wider interest, the topic title already makes it wide open, gives no geographic limitation, and therefore members should fee to post in what locale they will be watching it in the part of Thailand where they live, for the information of members interested in this information. January 30, 201412 yr Any pub that shows a lot of rugby will show it. If I was going out looking for it, I would try Soi 8 on Soi 8, Sukhumvit. Or the Office, Soi 33. Or Tenderloins, also on Soi 33. By then I'd be getting desperate, and I'd try every pub I walked past. But I doubt it would get to that. Gullivers on Soi 5, but by the time you get there from Soi 33 you'll be steaming, and the match will have ended. SC
January 30, 201412 yr Thank you for sharing that information, StreetCowboy. The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
January 30, 201412 yr Not a rubgby fan, I had to search the web for it. SIX NATIONS: FRANCE V ENGLAND Venue: Stade de France Date: 1 February, 2014 Kick-off: 17:00 GMT That's midnight in Bangkok. It will probably be useful to know in advance what pubs show the game, rather than cruise the Sukhumvit sois looking for one that does. Astro's not showing the Wales Italy game, I don't think - don't know about True, or other channels, otherwise you could find a pub showing that game and then wait for the following game. If it's showing on True, it will be on at all the pubs mentioned, If it's not, then maybe not. SC
January 30, 201412 yr Author Ahhh details, sorry. Yes late Saturday night. Isn't there an election on Sunday and therefore won't all those bars be dry?
January 30, 201412 yr Ahhh details, sorry. Yes late Saturday night. Isn't there an election on Sunday and therefore won't all those bars be dry? I'd forgotten that. Not a problem for me as I will be flying in any case SC
February 1, 201412 yr Probably a bit late for Delaney's or whatever incarnation it is now, the Irish Exchange I think last time I looked, off Silom, Soi Convent, or the Irish bar, hang a right from Convent, cross the road onto Silom. They both used to show replays the following day, but haven't been in either for some years, so information is a little sketchy I am afraid.
