Hua Hin: -- Location, location, location - that certainly appears to have been top of the list for Hua Hin’s latest exciting attraction: The Lounge Bar, based here, slap bang in the centre of energetic Hua Hin.

Walking distance from The Lounge Bar to Hua Hin’s white sandy beach takes less than 5 minutes. To the Hilton Hotel, Centara Hotel and a host of other top-flight hotels, bars, clubs and eateries also takes around 5 minutes or less. OK, so the location is unbeatable. But, what exactly is The Lounge Bar? What does it do; what does it offer and, more importantly, is it worth visiting?

The Lounge Bar appears to have more than one focus. First impressions from outside give the suggestion of a selection of fine wines, beers and spirits. Hot and cold drinks and a fantastic selection of freshly cooked hot and cold food are also on offer.

However, and on closer inspection, after ordering a glass of red wine accompanied by an incredible selection of freshly cooked tapas, and, while your ears are massaged by gorgeously relaxing music, while your eyes are clearly drawn towards beautiful images of Hua Hin and elegant images of romantic pool villas and sea view condominiums.

Aside from the beautiful images on the walls, TV monitors are constantly screening a selection of all different kinds of property, from value-for-money budget property, to mid-range properties and all the way on up to luxury sea view condominiums and exclusive swimming pool villas.

Private tabletop computer tablets avail themselves to customers wishing to ‘probe’ a little deeper into what is on offer. But, in their own time, and at their own pace. Refreshingly, no one applies unwanted pressure here.

For those customers wanting to know more about property; how it can be owned; how it can be bought etc., a dedicated staff member is stationed at the back of the bar and is available to answer any questions they may have.

Knowing a little about property laws in Thailand, I decided to ‘test out’ the somewhat attractive looking assistant. It turned out that she was more than just attractive. She knew everything about leasehold, freehold, taxes, construction guarantees, rental potential and much more.

Unusually though, and unlike many real estate agency staff members that seem to jump on you as you walk through their door, machinegunning you with a barrage of questions, The Lounge Bar, is exactly what it says, a lounge bar. The staff here does not approach you. You have to approach them!

That’s not all, The Lounge Bar, in partnership with Thaivisa and Facebook, also offers super high speed Wi-Fi Internet access to all of its customers - the first of its kind in Hua Hin.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for somewhere really relaxing to kick back and relax while dining on the finest of fresh cuisine and delicious drinks, and, while watching the hustle and bustle of Hua Hin’s main Walking Street, then look no further.

Whether you are interested in property or not, The Lounge Bar guarantees you a wonderful evening of people-watching, deliciously fresh food, a stunning selection of drinks, very relaxing music, all provided by a selection of really friendly staff.

I've been to The Lounge a few times now - it's good. I know the haters will find it easy to slag off a Thaivisa bar/restaurant but fair's fair, The Lounge is actually really good, and well worth a visit if you're in Hua Hin.

Decent food, reasonably priced, nice comfy sofas and chairs and good music - give it a try.

I'm seeing more and more advertisements on tv.com that are disguised as forum posts ... like this one. I don't mind ads pe se ... they're a reality of the internet ... but we should be able to instantly recognize what's an ad and what's not, and then choose for ourselves if we want to click on the ad.

Judging by the Facebook page, I'm confused... Is it a bar or a real estate agent? Or somewhere you can get a coke and a smile whilst buying ya condo?
