Popular Post GinBoy2
Well I had my daily dip into the crazy world of the lunatic fringe (AKA Thailand News Forum). I thought for those of you too fearful to venture into that dark psychotic world, I thought I'd share this with you: jalansanitwong, on 31 Jan 2014 - 14:24, said: Go to the remotest part of issan and i guarantee one of the first sights you'll see is a farang waddling around his property with an Issan wife. There would hardly be a family tree in all of Issan that doesnt have a farang branch hanging of it to some extent. These are the people who have bankrolled issan families for decades with real money mostly from Switzerland, UK, Germany Austria ,Belgium and Holland. The Shinawatra's get all the credit and money. The farangs drag thousands of village female peasants out of poverty and when he dies he's burnt and his deeds forgotten. The rich will get richer and old farangs will keep coming here and marrying poor village girls. Takes the heat of the government. No responsibility. I never knew we wielded such power. Kinda funny, I can go for days, weeks without seeing another farang unlike the sexpat farangs thronging (or should it be 'waddling') around the bars of Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket etc. I therefore conclude that I must be single handed pumping sooooo much cash into the local economy its paying for all those lazy good for nothing Isaan folks to do nothing but play about on those damm rice farms. Interesting what these folks who have probably never ventured further North than Bang Pa In think about us up here

Popular Post glegolo
Can agree to some extend!! In almost EVERY villiage up here in Isaan there are at least 2-3 nice looking houses built by falangs married to a Isaan-girls of course. I didn´t believe it when I heard it, but have seen it and it is true. There is a huge lot of falangs here and the countries involved is mostly Holland Sweden, Belgium,Norway and Denmark But Schwitzerland and Austria is not common at all, and the guys from UK never make it up to here, They can mostly be found down in Pattaya in a white T-shirt, shorts black socks with flip flops and not that sober at all..... DonaldBattles
Just think, you might have connected with a woman from the south of Thailand. Then what would you do? Isan women know how to suck the blood out of you a lot better. Wonder who will cut the grass from those jungle houses when the farang dies.

Popular Post Pinot
I spent the last three weeks touring Issan. I stayed in every sizeable city and rarely saw a farang. There were a few but to think farangs are making an impact on the Issan economy is ridiculous. I can't tell you how often children just stared at me in wonderment. We remain a rare breed in this area of the country. Yes there are married farangs in the baan, that doesn't equate to anything but a minimal impact on the economy.

I don't have offspring but I wouldn't mind putting in some effort myself to improve the rights for the married with Thai Farang living here in Thailand. Popular Post DonaldBattles
The Luk Krung is an important part of this society. They control the TV Shows. We are living in a political system that has been outgrown by the younger generation and they want a change. The past 10 years without change to benefit the overall public is enough. It will take awhile longer but the young intelligent will start to control Thailand and make it a better place to live. After 30 years in Thailand I have had 2 true loves and they both have been from Udorn Thani and she is currently my lovely wife who takes care of me like royalty. I hope to see the day when Bangkok will treat Isan people like they treat themselves and trying sharing the wealth.
