February 2, 201412 yr I bought an Almera less than a year ago I get a lot of tyre "squeeling" even when breaking softly. It came with Bridgestone tyres which is usually a good brand? I know the lack of ABS and stability control on base models make the car handle like crap but im just wondering if theres some problem with the tyres anyone else experiencing this? Im getting this problem a lot on the asphalt roads not concrete ones Edited February 2, 201412 yr by BuffaloRescue
February 2, 201412 yr Same issue with mine. Not so much a tyre related problem with handling or braking, because i drive it within its limits, but a tyre problem with noise. Not that it is awfully loud, just a bit disturbing, in that any sort of cornering seems to have the fronts squealing. Makes me feel like a bit like a Starsky and Hutch stunt driver. Have them at about 29 psi which i believe is about right, so don't know what to do besides changing them to a different brand when the time comes. Edited February 2, 201412 yr by rixalex
