Can't believe no one has mentioned Provigil/Modafinil. This is as close to the silver bullet as you will find. You will get the emitional and creative lift you seek with little or no side effects. Not available in Thailand but you can order online. Best for the money is from India. I will assume forum rules prevent me from giving a specific name. Get busy with your browser and do your own homework.

Most of the supplements mentioned here are nonsense, supported by poorly done studies and bad science.. Their only benefit is from placebo effect and wishful thinking. The only exception to this is Testosterone. At 66 you almost surely could benefit from some additional injections of this. Never mind the hype you read about any benefit from oral supplements. The fact that yur testosterone levels are normal is pretty meaningless. Most blood testosterone. is protein bound and physiologically unavailable. You must get the test for free testosterone.

I really hate "big pharma" products. The US FDA has proven itself ineffective at keeping dangerous drugs off the shelf. I am not saying that this guaranteed to be the case here, but I wouldn't take the chances. Here's info from the manufacturer:

Important Safety Information

What important information should I know about PROVIGIL?

  • PROVIGIL may cause serious side effects including a serious rash or a serious allergic reaction that may affect parts of your body such as your liver or blood cells. Any of these may need to be treated in a hospital and may be life-threatening. If you develop a skin rash, hives, sores in your mouth, blisters, peeling, or yellowing of your skin or eyes, trouble swallowing or breathing, dark urine, or fever, stop taking PROVIGIL and call your doctor right away or get emergency help.
  • Provigil is not approved for children for any condition. It is not known if PROVIGIL is safe or if it works in children under the age of 17.
  • You should not take PROVIGIL if you have had a rash or allergic reaction to PROVIGIL or NUVIGIL® (armodafinil) Tablets [C-IV], or are allergic to any of the following ingredients: modafinil, armodafinil, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, and magnesium stearate.

What are possible side effects of PROVIGIL?

Stop taking PROVIGIL and call your doctor right away or get emergency help if you get any of the following serious side effects:

  • Mental (psychiatric) symptoms, including: depression, feeling anxious, sensing things that are not really there, increase in activity (mania), thoughts of suicide, aggression, other mental problems.
  • Symptoms of a heart problem, including: chest pain, abnormal heart beats, and trouble breathing.

Common side effects of PROVIGIL are headache, nausea, feeling nervous, stuffy nose, diarrhea, back pain, feeling anxious, trouble sleeping, dizziness, and upset stomach. These are not all the side effects of PROVIGIL.

Tell your doctor if you get any side effect that bothers you or that does not go away. Talk to your doctor for medical advice about side effects.

What should I avoid while taking PROVIGIL?

  • Do not drive or do other dangerous activities until you and your doctor know how PROVIGIL affects you.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol.

What should I tell my doctor before starting PROVIGIL?

  • Tell your doctor about all of your health conditions including if you have: history of mental health problems (including psychosis), heart problems or had a heart attack, high blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, a history of drug or alcohol abuse or addiction, or are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Tell your doctor about all of the medicines you take. Women who use hormonal birth control may have a higher chance of getting pregnant, while taking and for one month after stopping PROVIGIL. Talk to your doctor about other birth control methods while taking PROVIGIL.

I would definitely go with the exercise and/or modified diet approach before venturing into teh world of pharmaceutical drugs.

Kwao Krua - The English name is Butea Superba. It does something specific to the male member and is very effective at that. I wouldn't take it unless I knew I was going to be in action that night.

I make my own Lin Zhu (sp?) tincture. It's also good for the libido but I can take it every day without walking around with a boner.

About the liver - Some naturopathic doctors claim that a sluggish liver can cause caffeine over-sensitivity. You can have a congested liver but still get high marks from the hospital tests. Liver/gall bladder flushes can do wonders.

Meditation - I can tolerate caffeine better when I've meditated. It also decreases my desire to abuse caffeine.

Butea Superba or Red Pueraria Mirifica or Red Kwao Krua do not work like Viagra....it is a balancing hormonal supplement and help in sexual problems because rejuvenates sexual organs after long term use, about 100 mg/day.

The White Pueraria MIrifica acts in the same way in female's hormonal issues, and for breast enhancement...

I am not a doctor, I am just a producer and exporter of the herbs for pharmaceutical use, but I work in partnership with a reputed US nutritionist and herbalist based in BK. Sure. I am a user too. It is a fantastic natural dietary supplement.

It is very much information about on the Internet, but also many not authentic products for sale, from China and Japan.

Pueraria Mirifica is a herb original from North Thailand and Burma, and exist in 14 different varieties. Only one type is effective for that use. Feel free in contacting me for more info.

Speak for yourself. For me, and for a few friends I introduced it to, it works the same day I take it, definitely no need to take it regularly or long term for sexual performance.

OP - Have you considered green tea? Because of its minimal processing, the caffeine is released over time in your body, giving a nice plateau of alertness. It's also very calming and centering due to its L-theanine content which promotes alpha wave activity and induces the release of serotonin. Black tea (either Western style or what the Chinese call hong cha) dumps its caffeine into the drinker very quickly, causing a spike and then a crash, much like coffee. Oolong is between black and green tea so for your situation green tea would be the only one to try.

Yes Sr..I am speaking by myself, because my company sells the product, and I hope will work like you say. Don't...Not the Red type. Probably you are talking about Black Kwao Krua, that my company do not sell, and it is hard to find for sale, because do not have enough medical trials of its side effects and not have FDA approval....Some serious nutritionist doctors believes that Black Kwao Krua may be highly toxic... but.... if you do not care about is as to you.. Please..do not recommend to others dangerous products.... and please... don't believe me. It is enough "serious" material about on the Internet...Unfortunately misrepresentations too ...

Reishi/lingzhi mushroom gives me a nice, smooth balanced effect of simultaneously better and calmer mood. I take it with a bit of vitamin C to improve absorption.

Green tea is great too. Works even better if you take it together with fish oil and ginkgo biloba, but they thin the blood, so avoid if you're on warfarin.

I'm not sure if it has caffeine in it, but you can try chewing the betel nut mixture you see old Thai women chewing. It seems to give my gf's mom super strength and stamina for an old woman. Thais call it kiiao maak " chewing betel nut"

Good luck
