Hi Guys...I hope some of you can help me...I want to drive down to Malaysia[Penang] i have heard from various people that if your windows are to dark they wont let you in..some say they put a meter on the windows to check if they are to dark,is this true..?

I have a Chevvy Colorado and the windows are quite heavy with tint..just want to know how i will get on.

Dont wanna drive all that way and not get in.

They come dowwn hard on Tints and do check, if you get through on Thai Plates the Cops check your papers,but they are nice enough . You will notice the driving is more sedate , and respectfull in generall.Well worth the trouble IMO. Enjoy.

P.S. When You leave, get you Passport Exit stamped, they dont bother, but the Thais sent us back for them.Perhaps they thought we had driven back from Jupiter.Then they gave us entry.
