geovalin
Could we move to or post one more time in Cambodian news? Anyway, I posted a similar one a few weeks ago.
englishoak
So we have alleged Cambodian insurgents claimed by a Navy general, meanwhile in the real world the Thai Army are actually shooting dozens of normal Cambodian non combatants dead ............... Oh the Irony of it all

simple1
" illegally crossed the border to find jobs and cut down trees in Thailand." illegally being the key word. If it’s anything to go by illegal loggers in other border areas often carry weapons so can understand the killings, if challenged, by Thai security forces. The killing of assumedly unarmed cross border illegal workers is murder and those in the security forces should be held accountable, but don't hold your breath. allan michaud
" illegally crossed the border to find jobs and cut down trees in Thailand." illegally being the key word. So it's fine to kill people for this. <deleted>. The Thais have slaughtered dozens of Khmer's over the past 2-3 years, while I do not sympathise with the loggers that does not give the Thai's the right to shoot on sight. Having seen first hand the abuse of ordinary Khmer's by the military and the border guards when legally coming through the Trat border crossing, I have no doubt the Thai's are just doing this for fun. They very clearly take great pleasure in being able to hit the poor Khmer day workers, make them sit for hours in the sun or just hurl abuse at them or spit on them. It is sickening to witness. mrdome
Are the felled trees then brought back into Cambodia or do they remain in Thailand? How would this work without involving cooperation from the Thai side (I'm not accusing, just trying to understand the MO)?

xminator
" illegally crossed the border to find jobs and cut down trees in Thailand." illegally being the key word. So you do not see the human rights violation by Thai army in this case? Illegal or not, shooting someone dead over crossing a border is not within human rights.

You seem to love death, some people do, they are called mentally disturbed people. They think death is easily justified when it is not happening to them or their own family. In your particular case I am really hoping that karma exists. Be careful on those roads.
