Ed Visa to Non B before ED visa expire

Featured Replies

Can anybody tell me if I can get a Non B visa before my ED visa expires, as I am getting a job and need to get work permit now, however my ED visa does not finish until June.

What do you have a multiple entry ED visa you obtained from a embassy or consulate or an extension of stay from immigration?

Either one may not be accepted for a work permit application meaning you will have to go out for a tourist visa and then apply for a work permit.

According to rules you should be a able to apply for a work permit and then just get an extension of stray based upon working but in reality they look upon a ED visa or extension as lower class than a tourist visa.

Basically what I am asking, can I get a Non B visa whilst the ED visa is still valid.

Do you have a visa obtained from an embassy or consulate for an extension of stay from immigration? I cannot answer your question correctly without an answer.

You will not get a B visa without first doing an application for a work permit unless you will be teaching at any nearby embassy or consulate..

NOT, you must cancel ED visa.
