Looking for thai chinese baby boy adoption.

Featured Replies

Dear Bro & Sis,

We are from singapore.

We are considering adoption for a thai chinese baby boy in Thailand.

We are unfamiliar with the adoption process from Thailand to Singapore. We guessed it would be difficult it for non-Thais.

We would love to give a child a loving home and start a family. But we fear it would be a long and difficult process. Does anyone have any experience of adopting a Thai child that they'd like to share with us?

thanks

vv

Moved to family & children.

If living in Singapore, you must do an international adoption. That is an adoption according to both the law of Sigapore and Thailand.

Starting point would normally be an adoption agency in Singapore.

Friend of mine in Australia adopted a Thai child, the cost stuck in my mind...au$50,000

My apologies, did not make clear in my initial message.

I am a transgender with my Singaporean husband. Adoption for us is almost impossible in strict Singapore. Many thai adoption agencies have quoted very high prices to us.

I have also spoken with Singapore adoption agencies but most of them did not seems to be helpful.

Thanks all for sharing, i would hope that someone along the way could have some ideas to go about this. thank you all for your time.

To be honest, I think you stand little chance under these circumstances to adopt.

Even if you manage a Thai adoption, for which you would need to stay in Thailand, the Singapore authorities will not recognize it and the child will/might require the normal visas etc. to stay with you.

The advise I can give you is not to give up at this state, but check more agencies in Singapore and see if there is one that might be able to help you.

I don't have any advise but I wish you and your husband the best of luck and hope you are successful.
