How does your wife 'destroy' Western food

Cremated a croissant in a microwave once, set it for 15 minutes rather than 45 seconds. Same happened to a cheesecake due to not being familiar with bang and olufsen type ovens. Was burnt to a cinder

Apart from those errors though, and once familiar with the equipment there were no further problems :)

Wow you GF already has an article ?

Sorry, I really don't understand what the 'article' reference is

You previously referred to your GF as "THE (article) GF"

blink.png

it used to be "my GF", now she has an article like most Thai wives/GF here, like THE car, THE house

I got coriander in my coffee this morning .

That's standard in Arab countries. It's called "hell" and tastes not to bad. Your wife knows this culture?

Sent from my phone

I believe that is cardamon you are referring to

the list is endless:

-Thai "crepes" Sickly sweet papiermaché conistency. Not remotely resembling the real thing

- Thai pizza with curry topping. Yuck

- Thai Cakes especially the one that tries to resembles black forest with disgusting fake cream, saturated with sugar.

- Thai smoothies; with MILK, really? Just call it a milkshake please !

- Thai croissant: choice between yucky butter or gross marg

- Thai Feta cheese totally worth spending extra 100thb to get greek one

- Thai egg custard, Thai can now proudly be the first to not only denature Euro pastries but Chinese too, yes they managed to make this simple dessert yucky too!

- Thai sausages, just gross

- Thai Pain au chocolat which here is named Danish or croissant depending how stupid they think you are.

Regrettably, they are singularly the most inept nation at desserts that I have come across.

Sausages pizza, feta and smoothies are not desserts

Sausages pizza and smooties are not desserts

I don't believe that I said that they were. Are you just trying to get your post count up ? smile.png

I just love those smooties, don't you ?

Not my wife doing it, but sweet salad dressings are utterly disgusting

I agree - so don't buy them!

There are enough western alternatives available.

As I said, my wife doesn't use them, but when you come across them, they are truly vile.

Sorry - misread your post.

Q: How does your wife 'destroy' Western food?

A: Same way you destroy Thai food.

Simple, isn't it?

How come it NEVER occurred to YOU?

I think you are missing the point of this thread.

Your comment is also factually incorrect.

Yeah in a farang Thai couple the wife cooks the husband wait to be served

You are correct

Nothing wrong with good steak dipped in a no of home made sauce.

But I guess you have the Thai cooking side if things down pat. Glass houses and all that...

Remind me if we ever meet no to offer to buy you a proper steak cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif She cooked the steaks to perfection, it was the rudeness with which she treated it that caused my near stroke...

God, I wish I could cook good Thai food. xsad.png.pagespeed.ic.gBNm0PzB6t.webpxsad.png.pagespeed.ic.gBNm0PzB6t.webp Since she and the kiddos are in the states and I am back and forth, I am forced to restaurants and street carts when I want a good Thai meal.

I wouldn't call a 21 day steak a proper steak. I'd prefer a couple of more weeks hanging.

And I hope you consider a properly cooked streak one which has only briefly seen a hot flame. Otherwise I don't think we are on the same page of what is defined as a 'good steak' :)
