I wonder those grannies also suffered from hearing problem. How much are those pretty girls paid? Do you know where are they from? of course different than the hero that is hiding in Dubai.... mrtoad
8.00 a.m. and Suthep is on the march to Government House. He's marching with a large contingent made up of, as previously reported by moonao, 5 wheelchair-bound grannies, half a dozen disgruntled farmers 15 pretty girls and 50 security guards. Lets' see if Chalerm is up to this lot. Is Moonao still around, or has been carted off to the local bin?

Popular Post MrJohnson
This very same guy also says that protestors have no right to take over government buildings, oh wait that was when they were protesting against him. The guy is an idiot and hypocrite. Give it up you fool, you have already been defeated and down to your last two supporters. wow with that many posts, do you ever leave you computer You comments come from La La Land Time you detached from your keyboard there is a real world outside So where did suthep and his mob get 125 Billion baht? From poor working class protesters? yeah right...... pull the other one, it has bells on it! The money came from the same people who paid the yellow shirts to occupy the airport. The same people who control most of the old companies, THE ESTABLISHMENT! The families with the blood relations and old business connections. They have been funding the anti-Thaksin and anti Peu Thai movements since Thaksin cut them out of the deal. This is new money vs old money... simple. There's no way the rest of Thailand's population (50 million plus) who live outside the capital would support Suthep. That's why he doesn't want to contest an election. what they want is to provoke the government into using violence to clear the streets and bring on another coup. That's why the government has been waiting this out. They know the military is just looking for an excuse. But the USA has warned the military to stay out this time. So we continue this stalemate.... there's plenty of money left in the kitty for the protesters to be paid (1000 baht /day) Could go on for months. Bang on Bob! Very succintly put. The protest backers have very deep pockets. They are content to see the rest of the economy go downhill before they throw in the towel. A game of cat and mouse. The protesters want a violent government crackdown which will be the catalyst for the military to step in and form a government of national unity- and see where Suthep is when that happens, somewhere safe no doubt. Abhisit and his buddies will then emerge from hiding untanited by the protests because they didn't participate. Groundhog Day. The only difference between now and 2007/08 is that the mob have not occupied the airport. Yet.

h90
Just wondering what would happen if this occurred in the U.S, England or Australia. Would the authorities allow people to sieze the Whilehouse, Dowling St or Canberra and prevent P.M's or Presidents entering? how many Presidents or PMs in UK or USA do you know with: their party twice dissolved for vote buying and fraud. Pres/PM running from jail term and put in office his "nominee" than his brother in law and than his sister with his cousin as foreign minister? Or can you imagine the court judges in USA threaten by republican mob? Or that the president sends someone with cash money to the court to bribe them and get caught? There are good chances that at such abuse of power also in USA or UK police is resisting orders.
englishoak
the will of millions of people who adhered to Dharma would drive away all evil black magic nutter Once it crosses over to this kind of propaganda it can only remind some of us of dangerous and disgusting stuff produced by the nazis, you wait by the end of the day there will be cartoons of a similar nature doing the rounds about reds being this or the Shins being that... pure sicko crap then and just as bad now. Evil Jews committing a Blood Ritual (Ritual Murder) of a young White Child Irritating part for me is this also damages the reputation of Buddhism by trying to use that as the conduit... as if it wasnt bad enough having that robed nutjob as it is already out there prancing about now we have Herr Suthep doing the nazi evil black magic bit on us.... Thaksin's been into black magic for a long time. I remember when asked Newin to find him a Khmer witch doctor to help his luck a few years ago. Most Thais visit fortune tellers, rich Thais often used to visit the blind female Burmese seer, I forget her name now. Buddhism and animism are still interwoven in Thailand. Be very careful what your saying, yes there are plenty that go see seers and fortune tellers, astrologers and all that gump. None of the majority is considered here as being evil or black magic same as when thais change their names all the time being unlucky or have the house blessed etcit is ingrained and mixed in i agree but........ The danger is when someone starts sounding off about evil and black magic crap and tagging it to people or in this case a political party... much the same as the above pic... there is such a thing as manipulating and this kind of propaganda can be pure poison... weve seen it before and Thailand being very superstitious is a hotbed for breeding this kind of thing and mindset... really dangerous game being played with this little twist of propaganda. The guy is an idiot and hypocrite. Give it up you fool, you have already been defeated and down to your last two supporters. Idiot and hypocrite are really the words that fit. I would add audacious but after considering he's backed by real top end power, he has nothing to fear. He keeps saying he has a legal right to protest. What is in Thai law about protesting? I know from my own country that there are lawful and unlawful protests. If the protest is deemed unlawful, the authorities move in and systematically shut it down. phutoie2
a month ago the farmers were uneducated idiots, now they are sutheps best friends and using them, i guess he has recently learnt the value of buying support, i wonder how long it will be before he turns his nose up at them The farmers never were uneducated idiots. They didn't get to be until recently, the largest exporters of rice in the world by being idiots. Farmers here work harder for less return than almost every other industry, but they have seldom complained, until now. They make the complex task of rice growing look easy, because they're experts at it. They are the economic backbone of the country and in many ways hold the key to Thailand's stability. Yep planting rice is really complicated work and I am surrounded by some deep thinking agriculturalists in my neighborhood. Setting fire to sugar cane and hedgerows, emptying rivers totally to get that extra crop in, and when it fails, take lots of nice pics for the compo claims. Cutting down perfectly good trees, stealing other farmers water, not even to mention fly tipping to the cows come home. The odd blockade on major roads because the price of some crops was not to their liking. Experts - away an sh*te.

Hardy99
If there would not be that crime and murderer make the troubles in Bangkok there would be no ricefarmers have died - because the government would have payd them Long time already. First he ask People to spend money to "help" that same people he say "they are to stupid to vote" and now use the Money for his courtwar, The farmers dont want that - they just want to get payd. He is a crime and in any other civilized Country that man would not anymore be walking in a street! Chalerm or Yingruck they are not week... they just not same brutal and crime like Abhisit and Suthep was to use killing force... No, better Chalerm or Yingruck who respect the life of others and not go in the game from "Thai ruk Thai" to "Thai kill Thai"...

MrJohnson
Just been for a lunchtime stroll along Silom Walking Street. There is a guy ranting and raving on the stage and about 50-60 people laying about on straw mats. The food stalls are all full of office workers but nobody is listening to the stream of invective spitting forth from the speaker on stage. 3-4 months ago there were thousands of people at lunchtime prtoesting against the amnesty bill. Not anymore. They've run out of steam. Of course the vendors love it. All the essenial protest paraphenalia is there; Hello Kitty clothes, belts, fake sunglasses of course foot massage (essential for the weary protester) and what Walking Street would be complete with someone selling fake Viagra and sex toys? Scamper
This is a profound embarrassment to Chalerm, who has issued more ultimatums in the last four months than drinks he has consumed ( and that's a lot ). No matter how people try to soft-peddle the accomplishments of Suthep, the fact of the matter is - it has worked. Chalerm's " retaking " of Government House - done with an awesome display of battalions of riot police - was all finished in three hours. Yingluck hasn't appeared there since December. She's been more mobile than the Partridge Family. For certain, today's images will make it to international news broadcasts. They won't be the images Supapong wants. It is just symbolism ? Of course it is. It's symbolism from both Suthep's and Chalerm's perspective. No one expects the country to ignite with a creative surge of joy as soon as Yingluck is seated at her desk ( while she nervously asks Chalerm " OK - now what am I supposed to do ? " ) Nobody expects a parliament-less administration to do be able to do anything. Symbolism is all that's left of the Yingluck administration. So why this dance between Suthep and Chalerm ? Because it's the only dance in town. And because Suthep is biding time for when the inability of the administration to govern legislatively becomes exponentially clearer by the day, and biding time for when the courts deliver their verdicts and their rulings. Time is much more to the advantage of Suthep than Chalerm. As the dance continues. And as the band plays on.

whoisyourdaddy
Call Suthep whatever you like, but he is a brilliant tactician. For those under the impression he has lost, you need to either read up or catch up, if no elections are held by the end of next month, this government is gone. EC is not exactly cooperating and everyone is working against the current government I am almost certain if police starts to use force, army will come out to defend the protesters. Just look at what Suthep did to make Chalerm look like biggest fool?!- He allowed police to take the Government house with no resistance at all and now took it back
