Bangkok Bank - using ATM card overseas

Featured Replies

It seems that a Bangkok bank ATM card can only be used for withdrawals at Bangkok bank ATM machines, does anyone know why?

Also can a Bangkok bank ATM car be used for withtdrawals overseas? I've asked this question in several branches and always get the standard Thai answer - yes, no, maybe - up to you sirsmile.png

You have the "special" secure one.

If you get the Visa Electron card works anywhere.

I think they also have a "regular" ATM card that works with other banks, as long as it's part of Cirrus or Maestro etc it'll also work overseas.

Need to go to the branch where you opened it and ask for a CSR that speaks English, they'll set you up. Might be a few hundred fee, also annually but not much.

AFAIK.....The standard atm card can only be used in Thailand, at bangkok bank atm,s and others but NOT the B1st machines. If you have the B 1st card with chip in it, you can use this anywhere and outside Thailand but not in the normal ATM's it has to be the B 1st. You notify the bank if going overseas to avoid blocks.
