How many photos needed to renew visa?

Can't find any threads on this. Just wondering how many photos for each member of the family when Father goes in to renew his teaching visa? He was told one but on a google search, I noticed a site that said three passport photos are required for each person. Kindly advise if anyone has done this recently.

For a visa at an embassy or consulate you need 2 per application.

For an extension of stay at immigration it is one photo attached to the TM7 application form.

I don't know how many passport pictures you'll need.They can be quiet expensive .You can save money by doing them yourself. http://www.passportcorner.com/

Many who get extensions also get a Re-Entry Permit at the same time. That too requires a photo.
