retirement visa from tourist visa

Featured Replies

i am staying in thailand on a 60 day , 3 entry visa , the last entry expires 16 april 2014 . for 4 years i have visited with non immig multi entry , this time refused . i have had funds in thai bank a/c for 2 months to apply for retire ment visa , my problem is i only have 1/2 page empty in passport . i have flight to uk in 4weeks , can i apply now , and pay for multi entry , then transfer details to my new passport which i will have on my return to thailand . or is it better to apply on my return to thailand april 2014 , for an application then should i return with a single 60 day tourist visa . thanks for advice ajj

You will first do a change of visa status from a tourist visa to 90 day non immigrant visa entry.

Then you will need to do the extension in about 60 days,

Some immigration office will do in it all at one time but you don't enough room in your passport to do it.

You could do the visa and get a re-entry permit for the 90 day entry if you will be back before the 90 days run out but I am not sure you even have enough room to do that in your passport.

Immigration will transfer the stamps to the a new passport.
