Extention of Non Immigrant O Type Single Entry Visa.

Featured Replies

I have a Non-Immigrant 'O' Type Single Entry Visa.

I'm coming up to 90 days stay here but I need to extend for 1 more month.

Please would somebody remind me what documents I need to take to the Immigration Dept. the name/number of the form I need to complete, the procedure and costs?

I know it will be very busy there and don't want to forget a photocopy or something!

Many thanks in anticipation!

The only extension you can apply for is a 7 day extension. There is no 30 day extension for a non immigrant visa entry. They are only done for tourist visa entries,

If married to a Thai or have a Thai child you can get a 60 day extension.

Thanks for your reply ubonjoe.

I have this O Type visa on the basis that I'm married to a Thai.

In my question I used the word 'remind' as I did do this last year, but have forgotten what documents etc. I needed.

I now presume I need a photocopy of our marriage certificate?

What else please?

Your wife will need to go with you. Copies of marriage certificate, wife's ID card and house book, your passport photo page, visa, entry/permited to stay stamp and TM6 departure card. A completed TM7 form with attached photo. You may need proof of residence unless staying where wife's house book is for.

I'm very grateful for your fast and helpful response.

So my wife and I will take all original documents you list, plus photocopies of everything.

Do we need two copies of anything? (I seem to recall having to get an extra copy of something?)

My wife thinks that last year we took the charnot of our condo (plus photocopy), but as her house book is for the same address then I gather the charnot isn't needed?

I have no idea what the extra copy could of been of.

I would take the chanot just in case they want a copy.
