I have to send a bunch of pdf and word files by email. The files are actually copies of posted letters.

It concerns different subjects and each subject has it's own folder with all correspondence.

If I want to send it with Gmail, it allows me only to select individual files as attachment, not folders as a whole. This would make it a total mess of course since the receiving party then would have to sort out each file to which subject it belongs.

How do I email complete folders ?

Sorry, I should have been more specific - among you are using windows, right-click on the folder and select 'send to - compressed folder'

That would be a possibility that hadn't thought about, but I'm not sure if the other party has unzip software on his PC, and for sure isn't very computer literate.

Is there another way ?

All windows and Macs come with unzipping software built in they just need to double click the zip file and job done

As stated above, it is pretty standard on all computers these days, and even of not there are several good free utilities available

You can attach more than one file to an e-mail

Just select the files in the folder

But zip is probably a better option

with <ctrl>-a to select all files, <ctrl> click for multiple non-sequential files and <shift> click for multiple sequential files
