Taiwanese Students report alleged pickpocketing at 4D Cinema in South Pattaya

PATTAYA:--On Saturday Night a group of 7 Taiwanese Students, currently on Holiday in Pattaya, reported an alleged pickpocketing at a 4D Cinema in South Pattaya.
The complainants are part of a group of 24 students who are under the care of their Thai Tour Guide, Khun Preechar, who escorted the victims to Pattaya Police Station to report the alleged crime.

He escorted the group to the 3rd floor of the Royal Garden Plaza where the 4D Cinema is situated. The entire group visited the cinema and then went on to a Haunted House on the same floor of the Plaza.

When the group returned to their coach, one of the group noticed that money had been taken from a rucksack he was carrying. The guide asked all 24 students to check their bags and 7 of them in total had lost money.

The guide checked with the Manager of the cinema who claimed there was no CCTV in operation and all he could do was to take his staff to a Temple and swear they did not steal the money, in the presence of a Buddhist Monk. This angered the students who then decided to make a formal complaint with Police.

IMO sadly, the days when doing this would have meant something to young people have well and truly gone

My partner was the victim of a pickpocket couple at a temple! (in Patong).
