Non-B to 60 day tourist

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have had a non-B and work permit for the past year with my school. I'm American. I have decided not to return to my school, and they told me that they would give me until the 11th of March to keep the visa open. Do I need a letter from the Labor Ministry to exit the country? Will I be able to come back on a 60 day tourist visa? Can I do this in Lao / Malaysia? If so, is there one which may be more efficient for this? I am traveling from Bangkok - but have been to Penang and Kota Bharu before, but never Lao. Also can I still get 60 days if I fly, or must I travel by land?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you so much.

If you ned to go to labour and immigraiton depends on when your WP and permission to stay ends. If your employement ends bore those days, you need to visit them both with letter from your employer.

There is no problem in getting a tourist visa in either country. But I would advise Laos as it is easier there and you cna even apply for a double entry toruist visa. KL will want to see a ticket out of Thailand.

No problem in either flying out or in or go by land with a tourist visa.
