March 3, 201412 yr currently in siem Reap... planning to go to Thailand for extended visit to stay with friends, accompanied by 3 year old son. Flight from BKK to UK booked for 16/06/2014. Apply for 60 day tourist visa in Phnom Phen? How long does it take? Can get agency to do? Can extend at visa office in Chaing Mai for further 30 days? Leaves a couple of weeks at the end not accounted for. Need to do visa run again across a border for 30 day stamp? Possible at at Mae Sai still? Few years since i have lived in Thailand, finding the info confusing! Clarification of current situation gratefully received. Thanks
March 3, 201412 yr You can apply in Cambodia, but unless you use an agent it will take 4 work days instaed of only 2 in Laos. Yes, you can exend for 30 days in CM. (All imigration offices will do). If a UK national a landborder run will give you an extra 30 days.
March 4, 201412 yr I'm in PP now getting tourist visa. Mario2008 is absolutely correct -- knock off a day for only $5.00. I used an agency called OneWorld travel (recommended by another poster) and she's very helpful. Best to get to her when she opens at 08:00.

March 4, 201412 yr Author Thanks for your replies! Just have the air pollution in CM dilemma now... not the best time of year to be up North
March 5, 201412 yr I've also used Oneworld Travel (and other's too) and they were spot on. In fact, all of them have been, so far. However, I have not heard about anyone getting a double entry from any Cambodian agent, only a single entry. All the agents I've used have also advised me the same thing. March 5, 201412 yr Not such a great deal, is it? The border entry fee, round trip in and out of Phnom Penh, along with the fee for a single entry visa and the extra cash to chop off 2 or 3 days ! That is much more than a round trip ticket (Tiger Airlines) cost to Clark, Philippines (Angeles City). When I fly back, I get 30 days, plus get to cross over into Laos gives me another 30. (Border is only 45 minutes from my home). Just saying...
March 6, 201412 yr Thanks for your replies! Just have the air pollution in CM dilemma now... not the best time of year to be up North Fresh, clean, cool, air in my Kentish garden this morning. A great place to escape the CM pollution
March 6, 201412 yr I never will go there more. They need not only one day, they need four days for work out. For handling out the Visa, all must wait 2,5 hrs minimum, not 10 minutes, by empty office, without any informations, and then very unfriendly handling out.

A great place to escape the CM pollution If I could find a job that wasn't a zero hours contract, so I could afford to house us in the UK, I would be there like a shot! Economic refugee. Enjoy the spring!
May 6, 201412 yr Got one last week, took Flamingos to handle it. Arrived @Monday night and dropped the passport, and of course they had it still in the drawer on Tuesday afternoon when checking. (Became suspicious, when she didn't ask for money, since when you get some service in SE-Asia without paying upfront ?????) Could have it back on Thursday for 65$, or 55$ on Friday. Took Friday as my flight was leaving Saturday. In the embassy they seem not care much, I filled the Visa form with all data before leaving, but they gave it back to me (Hotel reception, she said they don't need it for Tourist visas ???) Of course, no flight tickets, or anything else asked. Find it quite convenient for the few extra $, BTW, the visa is 40$, if you want to do it yourself.
