What order should I get them renewed? I'm assuming do my passport first.

The UK govt website said it takes up to six weeks. What if there is a delay, and my visa expires before I receive my new passport?

If it is any help (doubt it), I just recently got an additional 1 year work permit...

What visa do you have ?

Or do you have an extension of stay ?

Whichever you will need a new passport -------you will not be permitted to enter any of the nearby countries with less than 6 months passport validity so if a new visa is required it cannot be obtained locally.

If you have an extension of stay a renewal will not (I suspect) be possible.

Urgent action needs to be taken to renew the passport.

Not sure, non-b I think? My company did everything when I first arrived, I just had to go and sign the papers in Changwattana.

Do you do 90 day reports at immigration or do you have to leave the country every 90 days ?

If the former you have a extension of stay, if the latter a visa.

Anyway that is all academic as the passport is so close to expiry that neither an extension or a new visa can be obtained.

You must take urgent action in the morning to get the passport renewed. I saw the other post made about the bank card ----again urgent action is needed to ensure the card will work.

Yes, im working on the passport now. I just need to wait a couple of days for my company to send me a proof of address letter.

I have to confirm my address every 90 days, so its an extension of stay?

The main thing im worried about is, what if the new passport doesn't arrive before my extension of stay expires?

You will descend into the world of overstay at a cost of 500 bht /day .

It may be necessary for your employer to provide all the paperwork needed to get another visa outside the country to start the process of obtaining an extension from the beginning.

Maybe something which should be discussed with your employer ?

Average turnaround on a passport renewal, if your paperwork is straight is about 21 days door to door

So you do have time

You should of gotten a new passport months ago. The UK will give you up to 9 months from old passport validity on the new one.

If something happened during the process of getting your new passport you could get an emergency travel document (aka emergency passport) at the embassy and do your extension on it. But the extension would only be valid until the date it expires.

Yep, you're a bit on the late side but probably will get it done in time.

1) Get a shiny new passport

2) Go to immigration to transfer your current visa and entry stamps (will take about 2 pages)

3) While there, extend your visa. (should be free, as your last extension was not for the full term, but to the end of your passport validity). They should give you to about a month past the validity of your current Work Permit (which will give you time to get the WP renewed before your next extension)

4) While there, do a 90 day report, so everything syncs up.
