I was in Mali West Africa for a year till 3 months ago working for AUMS on a Solo

    I work for byrnecut mate we have a few boys who were with us in Mali aswell but Mali contract has finished, I thought AUMS was still in Mali ?

    They imported People from Ghana to do our Jobs The Gold price was $80 higher then So things must be tough now

    Byrnecut Don't have any Solo contracts there do they

    I hope to go back to Freeport soon but having some time off right now

    Sorry mate we only have jumbo ops, fitters and elecs on site! Some of our other sites have bogger ops but I haven't herd of any solo jobs offshore yet?

    Yeah I don't mind it as I have lots of friends etc there but some times it's a bit too busy so Iike to get down the coast a bit to get away from it all, I will probably move an hour or two down the coast later this year.

    I like it in Khon Kaen away from the Hustle and Bustle of Bangkok

    An Expat that works in another county Underground in the mining Game

    Oh! OK I get it offshore but not as on a rig biggrin.png

    We used to call it Overseas thumbsup.gif

    Basically any mining or drilling etc that's done offshore off your home country people refer to as offshore these days, some mining companies even name themselves as such and such offshore minning!

    Always considered offshore as in rigs and platforms and dodgy money transactions whistling.gif

    Yeah not sure when it started but it is what it is.

    However there are a few companies starting to develop new deep sea mining ships, so in a few years we might have another name " offshore, offshore mining" ?
