Day out

Featured Replies

I will have one spare day in Bangkok in April with my elderly Mother (70's) and young son (6).

As neither are very good at walking I am thinking of a sightseeing trip along the river in the morning but stumped for something for the afternoon.

Any great suggestions for a couple of things to do during the day?

You can kill a lot of time on the river, not just on the scenic temples but visting places like Thewet markets, Asiatique and the new Jam Factory development. Afternoon, the 6 year old might enjoy Suan Rot Fai (train park) in Jatujak. Keep in mind April is the hottest month in BKK, so you might be better off heading into aircon in the afternoon.

Being on the river and sat down or inside would be best as it will be very hot particularly for an elderly person.

Thanks.

Siam centre and MBK for the air con then.

Quite like the train park idea though.
