triple entry re entry

Featured Replies

My friends triple entry expires on the 30th of April. He can apply for a 30 day extension but he's going out of the country for business the 13th of April. His plan is to get a re entry permit before he leaves and come back the 29th or the 30th and then apply for the 30 day extension on his triple entry.Does this sound do able? He's from England

If you are talking about a triple-entry tourist visa it would be useful to know how many entries of it have already been used.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

He could apply for the extension and get a re-entry permit that included the 30 day extension at the same time.

I assume he is trying to avoid using another entry of his visa. If he does not have any entries left he could just get a 30 day visa exempt entry.

Possibly but you need to understand the details of a triple entry visa.

Triple entry visa are normally issued with a expiration sate of not more than 180 days.

All three entries must be made before this expiration date.

Even if you have only one entry and one extension before the expiration date arrives ..... you will get no more entries on that visa after that expiration. date.

Normally you will see a statement like this on the visa you get, "must enter before (stamped date).

That is the effective expiration date .... and is often 180 days after the visa is given.

So, to be clear, there will be no more entries on that visa after the expiration date.

Even if you have "one entry left" and a reentry permit .... once you go past that expiration date, there will be no more entries on that visa and any reentry permit he has on that visa is finished also on that expiration date.

It all depends on that expiration date.

He has used 2 entries .His stamp is good till August. He has in the past been obtaining multientry visas prior to this so on a recent visit to England he went to Hull

to reapply but didn't have the necessary paper work and the time to do a proper non immigrant O based on marriage .So he obtained a triple entry in February.

He could get a 60 day extension to visit his wife instead of the 30 day extension and get a re-entry permit for it. It seems he has enough time left to do that before using the 3rd entry.

He can get a multiple entry non-o in Savannakhet Laos with no financial proof.

Yes exactly.he is trying to avoid using his last entry so it sounds like he can apply for the permit and the 30 day extension the same time and when the extension runs out he can do a boarder run for example and get a 30 day visa exempt ,correct?

It appears you were doing a post while I was doing one. He should get the 60 day extension I mentioned..
