March 14, 201412 yr In Homepro/DIY stores, there is a wide choice of domestic water filter/purification units that consist of (usually) 3 filter tanks about 25cm long and a small tap where potable water can be drawn off. Does anyone have experience in selecting a suitable model and practicial use of these units? I am completing the build of a small guesthouse, and I obtain water from a well which is stored in a holding tank, then supplied to showers and toilets. The water, although clear and non-smelling, is not intended to be drinkable, but it seems sensible to install one of these filter products if I can provide potable water. (In my other hotels, we rely on bottled water for drinking, but it is a finite expense and requires disposal of the empty bottles). What points do I need to look for when buying one of these filter units? Simon
