Medical certificate Non Immigaration 0-A Visa

Featured Replies

I am a New Zealander. I married an Isaan girl two years ago and she now has residency status

and various New Zealand Government programs in her favour.

After dealing with the Thai authority and the NZ authority I came to appreciate New Zealand and Australia a lot,

generally for that utter superiority, we have, in dealing with Visa holders and new immigrants.

VISAS

My Non Immigration 0 Visa based on marriage was useless to me last year .

Being Thai, the immigration people wanted to see money in a Thai bank. That is not going to happen.

I was fined at the airport on leaving Thaksin country, because they would not extend Visa to Alien married Thai..

This year I will try to repeat my previously successful formula as a Non Immigrant 0-A Visa holder.

MEDICAL CERTIFICATE

However I can not find anything on Internet which gives an English form, of the required Medical Certificate

for Non 0-A Visa. .

It’s a primitive and absurd form relating to syphilis, TB, Elephantiasis, and drug addiction.

I have the Thai written form, but Western Doctors are reluctant to sign forms in foreign language,

I rang Thai Embassy in New Zealand to ask them where I could find and they said they didn’t know,

but that it would be required.

Does anyone know where I can download an English form of

Medical Certificate for Non 0-A Visa to Thailand

In 2009, Germany: doctor filled a freely drafted letter, declaring me free of the listed deseases (in English language).

Signed and stamped it. No questions asked at the embassy.

A fellow even had a letter declaring him "free of contagious deseases" (in German language). Even that was accepted.

I guess that the embassies/consulates in countries like "ours" do not put much emphasis on that letter.

And by no way you need a Thai language document, as the decision about the visa is done by the local embassy/consulate where they have people fit enough in English or the local language.

Why do you care what the Thai form says ? The only real problem is a doctor that insists that they perform the tests to prove that you don't have

syphilis, TB, Elephantiasis, and drug addiction

Sounds to me that you don't like to play the game that is required to get a Thai Visa, if that is the case then come here on a tourist visa and do border runs every ninety days. No medical or finances required.

BTW , you can extend your O-A Visa for another full year by doing a border run right before it expires. Better than getting caught with an expired visa and spending time in Immigration lockup in case your successful formula comes back a bite you in the ass
