Need to stay few weeks after Non Imm O Expires

Featured Replies

Hi All,

My Non Imm O visa extension (3rd extension based on marriage) expires tomorrow Mon 17th, I had not planned on renewing it as I have to leave the country for a several months so decided I would just let it expire and get a new Non Imm O when / if I return this year.

Anyway I was due to fly out of the country on Wednesday so originally I was just going to over stay for a day and pay the fine rather than go to any hassle of border runs etc for just a day or two. However I just found out this morning that I have to stay for at least another two weeks, maybe three and not really much I can do about it, I can change my internatinal flight back to Europe so at least thats not a problem. I'd be grateful if somebody could tell me what are the best / cheapest and most hassle free ways for me to extend my stay on such short notice. I don't want to overstay for a few weeks.

Do I have to do a border run and if so which is the best (going from near Bangkok)? If the border crossing only gives me 15 days than if I fly out of the country same day will I get 30 days on return? If so what are the best / cheapest routes?

Does anyone know is it possible to get a week or two extension of stay from an Immigration office if situation explained?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife. She would need to go with you. You will need marriage certificate, her house book and ID card. And all the normal copies of your passport and departure card. Plus the 1900 baht fee.

Sorry Joe can you tell me what TM form I fill out for that at the immigration office? Thanks

The same TM7 form you used for your other extensions.
