New Thai Red Shirts leader Jatuporn warns of battle ahead

Could be real problems ahead the reds want to protest and Suthep his telling his band to be ready because the reds have no right to protest and they must be stopped. Both these nutcase leaders should be arrested and a stop put to all this childish nonsense. Both sides are as violent and irrational as each other and if the meet then it could explode.

You can't even put Suthep in the same ball park.

He has never urged anyone to destroy BKK or arm themselves for a war.

He has urged civil disobedience such as blocking road (which has probably saved about 50 lives by preventing road accidents), He has interrupted work of a government that is widely seen as corrupt, ineffective and illegitimate.

He has not called for arms and slaughter, he has not called for an attack on the army, he has not called for 1 million Lts of petrol to burn Bangkok.

That is the glaring difference.

The red shirts are a breed on their ow, they are violent as they come and would not hesitate to slaughter innocent men women and children in an attempt to turn the 'locals' against the rallies, they tried that remember in Trat and BKK, didn't work did it..... The locals all knew who was behind it.... Almost certainly a certain Mr Ko Tee, probably on the orders of the UDD as a strategy which like most things they got wrong.

We all know they are going to attack the constitutional court, and the NACC.

We know they will attempt to murder all the judges who dare vote against YL.

We know they will unleash Ko Tee on the army in another attempt to crush them..... haha

We know that red shirts will be sacrificed by the dozen as 'martyrs'.

Everyone can see through the red movement, and they are ready for it.... Make no mistake.... They are ready.

Ko Tee will not be bankrolled by Thaksin, he is probably a thorn in Thaksin's side.... Thaksin will likely have him 'silenced' if he continues to show the UDD's hand.

Who is ordering the destruction of Bangkok, he is calling for a peaceful protest the same as Suthep.

Based on his past record, do you really believe him?

No, based on past record and no, based on his ability to lie shamelessly.

>"...A firebrand hardliner..."

If that is correct, what does that make AV, and Chuan Leekpai, etc., etc.

The Media just cannot help itself, trying to denigrate leadership of the electoral majority elements.

Makes me so respectful of the Thai electorate, who see through this smoke.

Heard an interesting point from some Red Shirts this morning...With Thida marginally removed from UDD Leadership, although still the leading theoretician, could pave the way back for my hero, Arisman....The guy who initially knocked AV off his unelected, pretentious pedestal in Pattaya. Apparently Arisman and Thida were not the best of buddies.

"The backdrop is a longstanding struggle between a royalist establishment, backed by the judiciary and the military, and Yingluck's billionaire family which has strong support in the northern half of Thailand"

As usual, the media will always couch historical context within its' desired spin.......The struggle referenced in above quote was not with "Yingluck's billionaire family", but with the electoral Majority.

The unelectable PAD-Dem's and anti-Democrats always try to hide their electoral futility and anti-Democracy impulses, and all the reasons for that, via misleading contextualization.

Informed electoral observers and Political junkies are not fooled.

Think you mean the electoral plurality

Jutuporn advocating peaceful resistance?

One must ask regarding medication. Should Jutuporn stop taking whatever he may be taking, or should he start taking that which he should be taking?

This creature is a professional thug a rabble rouser and a devout coward a born again moron who last time around led from the back and didn't have the courage or the will to face his opponents let alone stand shoulder to shoulder with his Red Shirt pawns,

Let us see just what this morons credentials and its leadership policies are.

Money will be the motivating factor and the lure of parliamentary protection as a list M.P. so as to keep this thug out of the reach of justice, the thrill of a personal mental orgasm at the sound of its own voice as the Red Shirt sheeple cheer him on as they go to fight a battle to destroy the very fabric of Thailand socially, politically and with democracy being the final victim.

But beware Jutuporn.

Thida would nay will and may well already have sacrificed you in her cause to retain power albeit in a covert fashion thus she will still be trying to instill her outdated Maoist policies upon Thailand.

Beware the Shinwatra clan too.

To them as well as Thida you are as useful and indeed as odious as the contents of an old fashioned outside privy. Remember that in days gone by the contents of outside privy buckets were spread upon the land as fertiliser.

That Jutuporn is all you are, a disposable asset that can and no doubt will provide nutrition to a stunted deformed mutant of a political plant that is not going to mature.

Your soul mate Thida is in the same position.

Alas so are those less well informed gullible Red Shirts that to date have been and still are no more than sacrificial pawns upon the altar of Thakin Shinwatra along with the rest of his family on their ego trip to establish their very own new ruling political dynasty (Dictatorship)

Who's been writing your recent posts for you? Your "language" and "writing style" seem to have changed considerably.

His latest post seems more like out & out trolling. Insinuating AV & Chuan are firebrand hardliners & stating Arisman (the latest airline magnate) is his hero are way over the top. The protests are not against the people, they are against the Shins & the rampant corruption spawned by them which is way above & beyond anything previously (I am not condoning corruption by any previous government).

Apologies for wandering a tad off-topic, but the comments quoted above deserve a response.

>"His latest post seems more like out & out trolling"

Disagreements in political opinions amongst political junkies, does not mean one of them is trolling. Debate the message, not the messenger is my preferred MO.

>"... Insinuating AV & Chuan are firebrand hardliners..."

I agree completely. They are not....But neither is Jatuporn...My point is that "what is good for the goose, is good for the gander".....besmirching and disparaging leadership from one side of the political divide, can cut both ways.....And in this case, neither one applies.

>"stating Arisman.... is his hero are way over the top"

So be it...he is.

His effectiveness within the leadership of the UDD/RS, has impressed me....and is why the PAD-Dem's denounce and assail him at every opportunity.

What effectiveness am I alluding to?....Permit me to cite two examples that come immediately to mind:

  1. Beginning with how he led the pro-democracy and anti-coup forces to derail a coup-rooted, nationally unelected PM of Thailand in Pattaya, who was masquerading on the international stage as if he was legitimate. It was one of the earliest instances where the electoral majority whose votes had been nullified by the 2006 coup asserted themselves.
  2. The second time was an instance during the 2010 R'song pro-electoral protests, when legislators who were a majority by virtue of coup-rooted events, were busy passing more self-serving legislation. The UDD protesting leadership sent some people to Parliament to confront these actions.....They got nowhere...were completely stymied....In frustration, the leadership sent Arisman over to take charge of the initiative...In very short order, the legislators were confronted....

Effective?...Yup....And is why the PAD-Dem's don't have a good word to say about him. I think they are afraid of him.

>"The protests are not against the people, they are against the Shins & the rampant corruption spawned by them"

With all due respect, beg to differ....The protests are seeking to gain power via non-electoral means.

Assailing the Shins and attributing corruption to them, is PAD/Dem/Coup-maker speak. Plus using their judiciary to apply a veneer of legitimacy.

Should there be validity to this criticism beyond Asian Political norms, the electorate would have governed themselves accordingly and voted the bums out-of-office.....They didn't........ If the PAD-Dems are so convicted about this, convince the electorate at election time, or in Parliament.

Where do these writers and supposed newsmen get off with such garbage? The only "news" in this entire article was:

"Jatuporn took the helm as chairman from previous Red Shirt leader Tida Tawornseth at a gathering of 10,000 supporters in Ayutthaya, north of Bangkok, on Saturday."

Virtually everything else was a rehash of information everyone already knows. What a waste of space.

In a normal country he would be in jail by now.

In a normal country, Suthep and quite a few of his protest leaders would be in jail by now.

So what is your point?

What does Suthep got to do with this story???

Ever heard about breech of his bail conditions? Maybe doesn't excist in your red tinted world.

As would Jutaporn, and Thaksin to name just two miscreants on the side you so ardently support.

Exactly that, no point. Which is why I asked the poster that first commented that Jutaporn Jatuporn would be in jail by now.

It seems as if Thaksin is getting desperate now. If his caretaker govt is going to be toppled, he would rather it were done by a military coup, so it will be easier for him to garner international support like he did very successfully the last time. However, with the military fat and happy with absolutely no desire to complicate things for themselves with a military coup, he has no choice but ratchet up the pressure from his terrorist wing to provoke things.

If his govt can't hang on and the military refuses to oblige, things are made very difficult for Thaksin. While the govt is still in office it is showing clear signs of deploying its own terrorist group that is supported by the police to initiate an armed separatist rebellion against the judiciary, independent agencies, the military and whatever interim govt might take power. But starting a terrorist movement while in office to fight the judiciary and independent agencies will not play nearly so well on CNN and the BBC as an uprising against a military coup would.

So you see Jatuporn et al having to attack the Constitutional Court and the independent agencies as coming from the 2007 constitution that in turn came from the coup. The only problem with this is that not one court or independent agency actually came from the 2007 constitution. They all came from the 1997 "Peoples' Constitution" which Thaksin claims to love. Most of the 1997 constitution (about 90%) was in fact cut and paste into the 2007 constitution word for word. Railing against the "undemocratic PDRC' is readily accepted by Western media but attacking the judiciary and the independent agencies while they have no overt military backing will be a much harder sell, particularly since corruption is known to be such a problem in Thailand. The stuff about amarts (i.e. anyone they don't like) and thinly veiled attacks against the palace and the PC is also very confusing for the foreign media, as well as lacking any tangible evidence.

Could be another deluded miscalculation by Thaksin, like the Amnesty Bill, his failed speculation on global rice prices and the 2.2 trn Borrowing Bill? He seems to live in a different world that is totally detached from reality now.

i see you failed to state that one side only became violent after being continually attacked and being unprotected by the police whose job it is in a civil matter....im sure it was just an oversight on your behalf lad..wai2.gif

This is a very big step backwards for the UDD which unfortunately uses democratic rhetoric and practices the opposite.

Instead of appointing a mercenary as a 'leader' it should be building itself up as a political party and appointing (electing? nah) a committed grass-roots individual with an ideology. At least Thida had an ideology despite her cold-war rhetoric.

It also is maintaining it's link with Thaksin, another reason why it's not making any headway as a political or democratic force - only as a violent, red village and red school creating brainwashing mob.

The UDD is a group with the uncanny ability to shoot itself in the foot.

PAD-Dem's afraid of him? Dont make me laugh... Arisman is a coward who fled the country like a scared little girl and wouldnt return until he knew the heat was off... much like his cowardly paymaster is doing (although its taking a lot longer for Thaksin)

So you find one of the UDD leaders a hero... the one who ran and hid in another country?

Your hero has proven himself to be a coward... says a lot for the UDD mentality

You people are so full of codswallop it's unbelievable. Suthep & his thugs have showed several times how violent they become at the slightest move from the authorities or anyone opposing them. We have seen far more blatant acts of violence than with the red shirts and with little provocation. The red shirts had lines of soldiers marching towards them with fully loaded war weapons. Can we imagine the mayhem if the current mob was confronted with that? With a fully trained, armed and paid force of 2,300+ guards we would surely see untold deaths.

At least Thida truly believed in communism/socialism and the right for equality.

All Jatuporn, Nattawut and Arisman believe in is power and money.

If Jatuporn and Arisman were given ministerial positions like Nattawut I doubt they would give a rat's ass about leading the red shirts as their own goals are achieved.

Arisman is busy running his airline sponsored by financiers in Dubai. Jatuporn was ruled as ineligible as an MP so being out of work why not rise up to the opportunity? Thida is seen as too non-violent. We can see the puppeteer wants to prepare for violence and what bettertactics then to instate a pitbull at the helm as the other pitbull at CMPO has his bite legally restricted.

Well, he still uses favorite terms like "denigrate", which occur in 90% of his posts, that and him announcing Arisman as his hero (I can't determine if this was ironic...) makes me believe this is a genuine "Frysian boppe" post, valued on the open market at 5.95 baht. But, you are right, it seems less convoluted, however, more poetic in style: "pretentious pedestal in Pattaya" a real gem for an alliteration. clap2.gif

It's not irony. He (as "CalgaryII" and other names before being banned) has been saying that since 2 years ago. e.g.:

"Dam_n, he was effective, and explains why he is my hero."

That's not just codswhallop - it's total distortion, verging on lies.

In Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakarn the local red shirt mobs have been actively attacking & sometimes killing anyone who disagrees with them. This is not just recently but has been going on for a number of years. In Chiang Mai the local red thugs have openly told any one not a Thaksin or Yingluck supporter to leave and even violently broke up a gay march.

The current protestors were initially poorly protected and not armed with guns until the almost daily attacks on them were allowed by a biased BIB and violent attacks occurred at Chang Wattana (Ko Tee), Laksi (Ko Tee again) and at a temple on Bangna-Trad road where a protest leader was shot dead. We don't know who was responsible for the deadly attack in Trat but I am not holding my breath that the police will find the attackers.

I don't know what level of guard numbers they need but that some are armed to protect them is not surprising. Yes, they have sometimes overstepped the mark and abused and hit non-attackers but nothing like what the various red shirt mobs have been responsible for.

If you go to the english language red shirt website (thairedshirts.org)and type elections into the search box, you will not find a single item that relates to elections within the UDD or any other red shirt group.

Enough said.

"The next battle will be big."

He ruled out violence, saying that any new strategy would involve "no weapons".

Does this mean, the "new strategy" will be more of the red shirts will put on black closes (again) and will fight the "big battle"

their usual violent way -

while the "red" red shirts will wash their hands of it ?

I've just read a transcript of Jutaporns last speech. Right at the onset he states -

"Suthep talks about reform. We Red Shirts also stand for the reforming the country, like Suthep says he does.

We have been fighting for democracy longer than Suthep has.

I am curious - does anyone know if Suthep has ever publicly done anything to promote reform and democracy prior to establishing the PDRC late last year?

I can't find any record of it (doesn't mean he hasn't actually spent years campaigning for clean government and improved democracy) - but it seems impossible to find any information that he ever showed any interest at all until he found a way to personally benefit from the cause.

One more thing of note from the speech - Jutaporn names names. There'll be no hiding behind the curtain pulling the levers with this guy centre stage. The backers of the ongoing attempted coup won't remain hidden this time around - looks like we could be entering the "all or nothing" stage of this 8 year fracas.
