True Story:

My wife told me there was a fire in her late Father's village a/b 15k from here - near KaengKhro. Three houses were on fire. Seems that one house was cooking - using a fire I believe - and the flames hit electric lines which then set 3 houses on fire.

The govt. fire co. was called; they responded sending a fire truck. When the fire truck arrived they "found out' the truck was empty. NO WATER. The houses burnt to the ground.

Why am I not surprised. What a place. TIT

Hmm, I live in Kaeng Khro always watch the 'fire' truck crusin around never quite sure for what exactly, never seen them actually respond to a fire and frankly would be amazed to actually see them douse any flames!.....Now that reminds me, House Insurance renewal time

Isn't that what most govt. workers do?

Our house is concrete so I guess it's "safe/er."

I asked my wife if she thought there would be any consequences for this outrageous and appalling behaviour. She said NO, but the "village chief" did ask villagers to give donations to him and he would pass them onto the homeless families. LOL .... right.... why do I not believe .....

They are used to water the plants during dry season.

I find it ???? well typically Thai that there is great fear in NongSang (near Kaengkhro) of the water in the huge lake, which supplies water to the village, of running out. I doubt that will happen as the lake is gigantic. The "official" turns off the tap after a/b 9 am and gives access to water a/b 4pm for several house. I asked the wife a/b the "fear" of running out and why don't "they" calculate water capacity and usage to ease any fear and all this water usage censorship? I got a look like I was from another planet. Well maybe to Thai's I am. I'm from America.
