I think a lot of people like to save money on their beers so let's post all the current specials/clearance items.

1) This whisky shop near the intersection of Pattaya Tai and 3rd road permanently offers Cheers for 485 a carton which is about 40 Baht for a big bottle. Cheers is brewed by Heineken and (arguably) tastes better than Leo.

2) Modern City currently has two specials:

Buy 3 San Mig Light (fill Oct 13) or 3 San Miguel Pale Pilsener (fill Feb 14) for 100 Baht, normal price 126 Baht.

Buy Chang Export (fill Aug 13, tastes fine) for 25 Baht a bottle (normal price 35-37 Baht)

Let's not encourage all the alcoholics in Pattaya to drink even more by informing them where they can get the best buys on their bulk purchases of booze!

Why not? Compared to my country or Cambodia beer is ridiculously expensive over here, isn't the tax something like 170%? So why not save a bit, don't have to be an alcoholic for that.

hmm 5 month old beer. sounds good.

Normal Thai formaldehyde beer should be good for 1 year+. It only goes off when it is not stored out of sunlight which is what I had to experience with a couple of old big Singha bottles a few weeks ago.

Only one problem - Chang Export. It's not beer.
