ubonjoe
You do not have to wait for your visa to expire. You can do the change of visa status now if you have at least 15 days remaining on your current entry. Is your wife 50 or over also and is also going to get an extension based upon retirement? If not doing the extension she will have to go out for a non-o visa after you get your extension. Immigration will not do a change of visa status for a dependent extension. You will fill out a TM86 form and attach a letter from your bank confirming your balance and copies of your bank book. Also copies of your passport photo page, visa. entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card. If your wife is 50 or over and is not going to get an extension as your dependent. It would be best if you both went out and got a non-o visa for being 50 or over at a nearby embassy or consulate. Then both you both for you could apply for the extensions during the last 30 days of your 90 entry on the same day.
HullyGully
My wife is under 46, where would you recommend getting a single entry o visa in Asia
moe666
Her age doesn't matter being your dependent. There is a pinned section on visa activity about different locations you may want to read this. Some friends here just went to Panang to get her Ovisa haven't seen them yet to get info. You will probably need a copy of the marriage certificate. ubonjoe
Immigration will not do a conversion to a non immigrant visa for dependents. She will have to go out for a non-o visa after you have an extension of stay.
