grahamb
I thought this article in the Bangkok Post was funny: The launch of the Metropolitan Police Bureau's new public surveillance system struck a glitch yesterday when the high-speed internet connection linking the 10,000 cameras failed to perform.<snip> Under the project, True Internet Co and Law Enforcement Technology Solution provided a high-speed internet service to bolster the Metropolitan Police Bureau's closed-circuit camera system to improve public security in Bangkok. <snip> When it is working the network will allow police to effectively monitor the goings-on in the designated areas through live pictures, Pol Lt-Gen Viroj said. See, it's not just us who have problems with the TRUE connection, the Police do as well When it is working, the network will allow police to effectively monitor the goings-on. And when it's not working, what will the 10000 cameras be used for then?
