Has anyone got confirmation yet that the cabinet decreed the additional Friday holiday as nation-wide or is it just for Bangkok and suburbs?

According to the most recent posting in the Bangkok Post, 9 June is a national holiday

Am I the only one though who has known about this holiday for the last three months?? Eveyone at my Uni was awrae of it!

That's interesting! Seems the Thai cabinet only just recently made these days holidays!!!

Once again, had anybody in the government thought to declare 09 June an official holiday back at the end of last year when the list of public holidays for 2006 was published, many wouldn't now find themselves in this situation.

Much to my (our) delight, we were told today that we would have Friday off. We have to work Mon and Tues though. I work at an int'l school in Phuket.

June 9th business as usual, many knitting companies made millions of Baht with the yellow shirts campaigns. How could a simple T short cost 700B!

June 12 & 13 declared public holidays in Bangkok only not for the provinces.

I am supposed to do my 90 day report on Friday at Pattaya Immigration, any idea if the office will be open or closed.

Why not just go on Thursday? Nobody will harm you if you are one day early, but if you are late...
